Under direction of Barbara McCloud a well attended charity Golf match took place at the Vale de Milho golf course with a closing at the clubhouse. Luckily many people attended and the result was a very healthy check that could be passed to the Bombeiros.
The competition results were:
- 1st.: Ted Foreman - 37 points
- 2nd.: Peter Hopwood - 37 points
- 3rd.: Tim Drew - 37 points
and Nearest the Pin was won by Joyce Foreman and Mick Girling.

Gabriel Travassos, second in command at the Lagoa Bombeiros, represented his organization and gratefully accepted a check, handed over by Barbara McCloud, in the amount of Euro 1250.-- from VDM.
